I have a massive somewhat popular web site that takes up about 300 MB and will eventually take up 500 MB as I add more to it. My monthly bandwidth is about 50-80 GB a month and will most likely raise up to 100-150 GB a month as I add more to it. I need some advice. I'm so screwed and every web host plan I've found will have me cough up a ridiculous amount of money a month. Affordable hosting plans barely offer 10 GB bandwidth so I know I'm asking for way too much with even 50 GB. Is there hope for me out there? Or am I doomed to pay about $1,000 a month unless I set up my own server? I used to be with digitalchainsaw.com and they had a GREAT hosting plan that satisfied my needs with an affordable price but they got bought out by another company and hit me with a huge bill and only one weekend to pay it. I don't like it that the internet seems to be losing money and hosting plans are so expensive for popular web sites. Many of my favorite video game and Japanese cartoon web sites have been shut down in the past several months. The ones that have managed to survive are starting to charge monthly fees. I can only pray that there is a hosting plan out there for me. :(

i guess you are doomed...

i am starting up a web host in the future that can cater your needs, but for now you're going to just keep wishing. try posting your needs @ webhostingtalk.com because a lot of hosts hang out there.

1) if you can pay $1200 a year: rackshack.net
2) transfer does cost money...especially when clients use a big amount of it. 500 MB + 80 GB bandwidth, i would probably charge 79.95 a month. 80 GB is a lot and some reliable dedicated server hosts dont even give that for less than 200 dollars.
