although it can mean business (what they say to make you buy it :P), but officially, t0pher was correct.

would it make more sense if .biz is for business?

.biz IS for business. .bz is Belize but they (to sell more domains) sometimes say it means business. I suppose if you wanted a .biz and it wasnt available, you could go to .bz.
