Hi,

I'm looking for a reseller plan to use as a small hosting business to annex with the design firm that I eventually plan to start. I have checked out a few that look cool (and a whole lot that don't). I have had bad experience with unlimited hosts (read: fasthosts.co.uk). Also, if it's reasonable, I might consider getting a raq or a dedicated server. Here are my requirements.

Host an unlimited (vitually) amount of domain names.
A good deal of pop3 email addresses per domain (SMTP a huge plus) and unlimited forwards and autoresponders
Preferably a unix host (Microsoft? bah!)
At least (and hopefully more) 750mb to 1gig of space.
75gig of transfer (and more would be so much better!)
Not a high cost for extra bandwidth.
No deleting of domains that go over the bandwidth limit.
Master control panel and control panel for domains.
Of course: CGI/PHP4/SSI/MySQL/.htaccess
SSL is a big plus, but not one hundred per cent nessasary.
Custom DNS servers (e.g. ns.mydomain.com, ns2.mydomain.com)!
Availablility to buy IPs for a low cost.
Frontpage Extensions option.
Mailing lists a plus
24/7 Tech Support
WAP server
Stats and bandwidth monitoring for master account!
Not a high set up fee.
99.5 (or so)% uptime
Chilisoft ASP a plus.
Shell Access a big plus
Also basic stuff like ftp for everyone (multiples = good), log files, money back guarantee, rule
Am I missing anything?

I want to pay $50 to $100 per month (hopefully closer to $50). Some hosts that I have considered:

www.donhost.com (look great except for the downside of app. $15.00 per gig of transfer after the initial 50gb)
www.datapacket.net (I don't like the idea of unlimited and am probably going to stay away from them
www.rackshack.net (looks great, but do they have control panels for customers? I don't want to spend all of my time setting up email addresses for people

From reading your requirements, I believe your best choice would be a dedicated server. You just aren't going to get nor be satisfied with a reseller plan. Yes, Rackshack's servers have a control panel for end users. You might want to check http://www.cobalt.com and look under RaQ demos.

(EDIT: Typo DOH!)

Yeah, for the money, rackshack looks like a good deal. Any other places have good raqs? Any reseller plans that I don't know about?

donhost slow.

you could go with unrestrictedNET (burstNET) if you put more money into it and you could allow adult hosting (and irc i think).

Well, I have one at http://www.tera-byte.com though availability is questionable. Tell Steve to buy my RaQ3 and you're good to go! :D

Seriously, you might have to email them to check the status of getting a RaQ (URL= http://www.4webspace.com ).
