What's the best way to offer auction mini-sites to my site-members?
1) Install as many instances of a free auction script as I have members?
2) Find a paid high-end auction script that offers support for 'stores' and hack it so that the store-owners auctions are visable only to store-owner specified registered users?
3) Other .....???
The mini auction sites are meant for members to use for their organizational fundraising. To suppliment the traditional 'silent auction' with an online auction. Benefits to the organization over Ebay? They don't have to pay Ebay fees, they can auction things that Ebay won't permit. They can be relatively sure that only the local and invited community participates - as the site won't be indexed and they control how they publish the URL ---- and they can allow / disallow bidder registrations.
