1. what's wrong with a banner ad
2a. you mean you want to get subdomains at your domain but you wont get them because you WONT get your own dedicated IP (wildcards)
or
2b. you mean you want a subdomain off the host. why bother? you're going to be domain hosted anyway.

No - the only ad i can take is a pop-up window
if i don't find any suitable host i'll just get a non-free one:cool:

PortLand has gone down in quality a service. I do not recommend them. I can't recommend anything. I guess you just have to use MyDomain NS and Cloak your URL!
Maybe you can try OwnMail. 10 mb website and free email service!

I guess that I'll have to use a paid host because I need a speedy hosting too.

If you don't need CGI go with http://discount-hosting.com as Tkun-san suggested. They seem very fast. Have PHP.

Try ValuableHost (http://www.valuablehost.com) Their most expensive plan works out to be like $5.95 a month (but you can't pay by the month) and you get tons for it. Great service and support too.
Perhaps this could be moved to the paid hosting forum? (Since they seem to have decided to go with paid hosting.)

You could try Hypermart.net (http://www.hypermart.net). Their features are
50 megs
CGI/PERL
FTP
PHP
Domain Hosting or subdomain hosting.
500 megs of bandwidth/month
or, there's always the first pay-for plan:
50 megs
CGI/PERL
FTP
PHP
MySQL
Domain/Subdomain Hosting
more bandwidth i think
You MUST sign up for a sub-domain.
log-in after your account's been activated.
Click "Domains"
Click "Transfer Domains"
BUT you must first send Hypermart's DNS numbers and other junk to the registrar you got the domain from.

Don't listen to these old cats trying to badger you to death.
There are a couple of free domain hosts out there that I know of that do not, I repeat do not run any ads whatsoever.
The first 2 links off my site below will take you there. You will need to pay a transfer fee though of $25 or $35.
I got mine on one of them. A Good Deal. But who knows how long it will last. Maybe tomorrow they will decide to start charging us all like some others have done.

what the hell is the point of paying for transfering the domain when you might as well put that to hosting?
old cats?
1. what does that make you?
2. are you trying to sucker more people into clicking on your stupid referral links?
