I've got lost on the internet.

I'm trying to find a website for my wife's tiny business.

I need:

Free setup and hosting
and free transfer of domain name (a .co.uk domain name)

And it must allow a browser to load up.

I have tried looking on the search engines but have so far had no luck at all.

Please help

You could try Hypermart.net (http://www.hypermart.net) but it now requires a credit card on the free hosting plan if you go over their bandwidth limit (it's 500 megabytes per month. you can pay a monthly fee for more if you need it).

their features:

SSI
FTP
50 megs of space
PHP
CGI/PERL
Domain Hosting
Lots of other stuff :p

You could try DK3 (http://www.dk3.com).
their features:

SSI

PHP

MySQL (must sign up for MySQL after getting account; they're both free)

"Unlimited" Space and bandwidth

CGI/PERL

semi-long URL
(your-site.home.dk3.com) but thats why there's -------- (http://www----------) URL redirection Service.

FTP

Special type of ads:
First time someone views a page on your site, a small frame is at the bottom with a removable ad banner (just click "remove ad").

the second, third, fourth, ect. ect. time someone goes to your page, the watermark ad appears by itself and just click "remove ad" to get rid of the ad. then your page is ad-banner-less.
