New Ikonboard?

I read some place (I think here) that the new ikonboard installs its self? Is this true? If so how does it do it?

Yeah it does. I'm not sure how it does but some files in it come in a gzip format. So it uses the appropriate module in CGI to uncompress them. Simple as that :)

I downloaded the latest beta of version 3 to check that out and the instructions still said to manually install each file to the different directories like the older versions.

Odd...I downloaded the newest beta too (3.4.3) and you make the folders for the files but there're .tar files that you also upload. The script then unzips the .tar files into the appropriate directories.
