My forum(s) are currently on the f2s host. My question is, since xmb uses the database server, and f2s's database allows only 5mb, would I run out of space quickly if my forums are subject to many posts? Or, will xmb just use the "webspace" alloted, 20mb? How does Ikonboard work in this instance? Thanks

first question: yes
second question: your posts are stored in the mySQL database
third question: ikonboard stores its posts in the webspace (does not need an SQL database).

i beleive that if your board has 100 posts a day, you can run your board for a while (small while) then, if you need to nuke the board of the old messages to free up space!

Thanks:)
Arg. Looks like I'll have to stick with Ikonboard until I get a stupid domain :)

I doubt there are many, or any at all, but are there any free webspace providers out there that offer more database server space than f2s?

WARNING: freesql.org isn't accepting new signups and besides, they're on cable and they already have too many users

I was able to sign up with them :)
Anyways, I signed up to asp2.net, just to try it out. So far, tech support is amazingly fast. I emailed them about not being able to register as the website directed my registration to an error page. They told me to register manually through email. I did. They created it within minutes and offered an extra 30mb of space to my account for my troubles. So instead of the 20mb which I would've been very happy with anyways, I got a total of 50mb. If this provider is reliable, I'm going to get a paid package.
