I've been with stackedtech for just 3 weeks now. I was drawn to them by there promise of a billing system that sets up your accounts for you for Free. And when i got my account, and installed the software they gave me. Guess what, it was asking for a licence code. They said they would provide the download i needed to provide the licence.

The uptime has be good, maybe a few 10 mins out here and there, but today my luck was broken. I'd just signed up 2 new customers for hosting and kabam, the entire server is down (even there site!!)

I've emailed all the support emails and got a reply telling me that the server would be up and running within 1 hour. That there was a fault with the hardware. Well, i've been talking to craid at HD solutions who rent the server to them and theres nothing wrong with it.

My account has been down for well over 15 hours now, and it is Still down when asking someone what they are going to do about it i get a reply saying that they are WELL within there 99.99% uptime this month... but 12 hours... thats way less that 99.99%

Overall. Just avoid this host. The support is great when you are sending in Presales questions, but then you have to wait hours after you get your account for a responce to anything.

They changed my domains and made me wait 24 hours because of a problem there end... I'm incredibly pissed off with the way they have responded to me and handled this situation.

Are you with there reseller or just shared hosting? (Or freehosting?)

I think some of you need to chill out. I understand that it's your site, and some of you are making money, but you need to realize that technology does have issues, and I'm sure they're working on getting everything resolved.

True but hosts should at least try to get word out some how about what is going on so clients don't get so mad. I've never experienced downtime for more than 15 minutes, so I wouldn't exacly know how it feels to have a site down for 14 hours. :o

I hope Stacked Tech has a refund policy...

Is this the same host where I looked at it real fast and said it seemed like only your Apache was down, the server was actually up?

Hopefully it's not anything serious.

Right, but in turn, when their servers go down, so does their email service. They aren't going to call every customer and make them aware, that's just absurd.

Email servers have been active for over 4 hours now... As well as cpanel and WHM. So they should at least respond to my emails... But instead nothing...

Did you ever think they may have been getting bombarded by email?

Its not really a stress if you know what kinds of sites you are hosting. Because if you just use auto sign-up system then some bogus people will sign-up and will waste your server's resources and it will ruin your company's repuation. But if you host good and professional website and help them to be better like yours then you won't have much pressure at all because they are there to make things better.

Thats bad... But I would like to tell you that they didnt scam you on the billing part:

All of our reseller plans come with a free billing manager by PHPcoin available in Fantastico. This combo provides you with a completed web site that allows visitors to signup from your website, pay you instantly, and automatically have their account created within minutes.
And its free, open source script, which you can download from anywhere ;)

The offered accountlabs plus awhile ago. And thats why i chose to be hosted with them. They have since chosen to change it. The problem was explained to me, and i now realise that i acted harshly towards stackedtech. This far, apart from the downtime, i have recived nothing but quality and professional support from them.

And thanks for keeping me informed craig.

Mods, can you please delete this thread (I started it...) or at least close it.

Thanks,
Moving Object.
