Hey everyone.
I have two questions...

I own a pretty popular site with about 1000 unique hits/day. I'm thinking of a new paid host. I update about 3 times a week, how much bandwidth do you think I need?

Also, what are some of the better trusted and popular hosts nowadays? I've been to http://www.ecommercediscovery.com/hosting/hosting.html and their economic plan seems nice, can anyone vouch for them?

Thanks!

hi :)

the owner is a member of the WHT Forums (webhostingtalk.com), and he's a nice guy. i can't personally recommend it since i've never used their service

(OT: WingZero, are you WingZero from CCSboard.com? )

reliable hosts:

http://www.valuablehost.com/
http://www.f5hosting.com/
http://www.dim8.net/
http://www.below10host.com/
http://www.aletiahosting.com/

>> USER EDIT <<
i would be able to calculate your bandwidth (transfer) if you tell us how big (filesize) your pages are including HTML, images, etc.

Thanks for the help.

I'm actaully the webmaster of Cybergroundz Anime. Our old address was http://cg.gamingtutor.com As for the page size. it averages to be around 80K and we get about 8,000 pageviews/day.

Hey thanks!

If we can't find a good new host soon, our site will be gone... :(

The old address has already been deleted....

I personally recommend http://www.below10host.com , if you need more traffic than their regular plans look at their 500MB Special Plan.

what do you think of http://www.webcanny.com/products/hosting/unlimited.shtml ?

They say unlimited, but we've all heard that before......

Theres just SO many seemingly good hosts, I can't decide..

lol um thanks.

I have it narrowed down to either

the premium plan at http://www.inoverse.com/hosting.html

plan 5 at http://valuablehost.com/valuable-5.htm

or the silver plan at http://www.f5hosting.com/plans.htm

Suggestions?

I'm kind of leaning towards inoverse right now....

Also, if any of the staff of those hosting sites read this, feel free to email me details at xgriever@yahoo.com

I know that the owner of f5hosting.com spend all his day to answer the support and don't get enough sleep. And I have heard of many satisfied customers with VH and FH. So I think going with either one will be just fine for you. :)

inoverse is hosted by rackshack.net... that isn't inherently bad... but people have been having problems with raq's, and they might be trying to squeeze too many sites onto one. I would suggest valuablehost.

Hi WingZero
I am with Valuablehost right now and I love it. Go with them.

Yes, I want to go with valuablehost as of now, but the 6 gig/month might not be enough for me

I think you can get extra bandwith. 3.25 for 1 gig
