I've finally given in...I'm going to be putting ads on my site to help pay. But before I do, what are the best paying sites? I see Google ads ALOT, so I was thinking them as a first choice, but I really have no idea. I'm really looking for text ads, like the ones you see with AdSense and Yahoo! ads.

Yahoo! is best, if you can get them. do. the payout is mind blowing.
I can't as it's only us:(
otherwise, google or chitika.
chitika has decent payout .5-2 and very very cool ads (eminimalls)
but only accepts certain types of sites.

I guess Yahoo has to review your site or something?
And it's a forum by the way, my site that is....

I noticed you have to pay taxes for your AdSense income...is it the same with all ad services?

Why does everyone always ask this question?
In reality, a Drug Dealer has to pay taxes on the income received from selling Crack.

CPC = Cost per click
CPM = cost per 1000 impressions.
And stay well clear of google, i used them for a while, stacked up a nice payment and 2 days after i requested my check, they closed my account down saying I, the owner, was repeatingly clicking on ad's. (Which i wasant...)

Thats the reason, you tried to make $100 in just 2 days.. very doubtful ;)
BTW i still consider adsense is THE best :)

So I assume the owner isn't allowed to click the ads?

It doesn't matter how you earn money these days, you have to pay tax on most of it including money earn't from affiliate programs.
