This template I made that I plan to release for free. I realize that it isn't very good, but I am looking for some CSS practice. I want to learn the basics and then get more complicated with it. I am not sure if this works in Internet Explorer since I use Firefox. If someone using IE could let me know, that would be great! Any comments would be great!

Here it is (http://65.98.35.234/~pc/templates/extract/index.html)

I plan on releasing it for free soon.:-)

I like it, but.
1. Center the entire thing, for us on larger resoloutions.
2. In opera the text in your nav bar and copyright bar is scraping the bottom of the bar.
3. add some sort of background to the main bulk of the page, like I have on mine.

Yes, the text in the navigation and the footer needs to be aligned a bit better and change the font maybe. Otherwise it's pretty good

Thanks for the information. I think the reason the nav and footer text are on the bottom is because I made it using FireFox. I will alos try some of your other suggestions! Thanks a lot!

You're off too a good start. I wish I could take the time to learn some coding, other than PHP.

Agreed, look at his reps too :/

Nice design, text could be alittle bigger, other than that it looks pretty good for a first time.

HELLZ YEAH TREE!!!!! If you can get respect from LiquidGoat aka Johnson (LG), then you are doing something right, and you shall be deemed a design GOD, till then keep krying and listen to what he as to say. May learn something. Till then, shut your pie holes and stop wining and get back to designing. give us something good to review that we can actually put a good number on. stop with the same old boring crap that we hav all seen 2,000,000 times.

Well his reputation isin't any good, first of all you are supposed to be 24?

But you act like a dumb 8 year old kid, very mature and professional of you to say idiot to others when you're one yourself.

Smile because I've sent your naughty dummy boy some bad reps for your bad behaving.

Eh, shut up he's just playing mean, and his reviewing isin't good because he's negative and you shall always be positive as a reviewer, so that's pretty noobish of you to say, and LEARN TO SPELL oh my god kids these days.

All he said was he hates small text, what's wrong with that? So do I. The navbar should be more visible. It's not your template, SSims should be the one responding to feedback.

Anyway, I think it looks great. Looks like a rounded version of the Invision Power Board template. :) You should center the body and make the navbar text larger. You could also surround the template with a solid white table and then use a textured background, like Yahoo! Answers (http://answers.yahoo.com/) does, and many others.

Thanks for the feedback. I really like the diagonal lines in the background. I may consider using that like yahoo answers does. (Even though at the moment I am really mad at Yahoo...lmao) And a question...I am using absolute positioning...how can I center it? Thanks

Try This:

<p><!-- START MAIN CONTENT -->Hello, my
name is Paul White. I have created the template, Extract, for
free public use. Since it is free, I ask that you leave the link to my
site in the footer. This site was built for Mozilla Firefox, and may
not display correctly in other browsers. I have customized this so that
you can insert your own text, header, footer, and change all of the
links on the navigation bar. Editing the CSS stylesheet may help to
customize this for your own site, however since there are images,
changing the background color is not reccomended. Even if youdo change
the sytlesheet around, the footer link should stay. I hope you enjoy
this template, and if you end up using it, I would love to hear from
you! Send me an email { mail@pcheek.com } or visit my <a
