they any good?

Who said hosts where $40US per month? Depending on what plan you want, determines how much you pay. You go for 500mb, you can pay up to $150US per month (Even More Sometimes).

Face it ... Australian hosts blow..
Reason being they can't give good price, data transfer or space without having to charge the earth for it...

And so ya dont get mad at me for saying that...

Too funny about discount hosting. You get php and mySQL but NO cgi-bin. And no smtp server.
