Hi, We can offer you this special, just now: http://www.primitivehosting.com/orders/step_one.php?gid=5
Choose the 30gb plan and we'll double your bandwidth for free after installation, if you pay via paypal.
That would 30gb of space, with 600 gb of transfer included.
On our Northstar (http://chargertek.in) server

I would recommend getting a dedicated server. Needing that much bandwidth, only providers that are overselling would have plans like that. Overselling, is just offering space that the host can't really provide. Do a search here on overselling, you should find all you need to know about hosts that oversell.

I am interested in knowing how you can sell packages that have 600GB of transit to one customer without overselling :confused4
If that is possible, then hell I would like to get a package from you for offsite management.

The only way that you can use that amount of transfer if the website is used for downloading and you would be pretty hard pressed to come near unless they are large files. At least you should be looking at some kind of semi for that you could contact gate2vn (http://freewebspace.net/forums/member.php?u=16393). The average unsold shared/reseller server uses around 300GB month

Is 600gb a lot to you as a provider?
To the OP: I don't argue for sales, because, frankly, we don't need them. FWS is my playground and it's this that I truely enjoy.
Let me introduce you to "Eldo"
Eldo is a server, powered far less than Northstar,
However it averages a .40 load while utilizing over 3500gb of transfer permonth.
Now what do you think NorthStar can do? And if you think long and hard about it's name, what do you think it really can do?

600GB is about 3/4 of what our dedicated plans are to a customer. Your network must be HUGE if you can say that you are offering 600GB as a plan and not overselling, I need to go through your upstream provider instead of SkipLink obviously.

Just because you offer a hugh plan doesnt mean your overselling, if the cost is correct then theres no problem with it. I can understand if you offer 600-800GB for like $10/mo.

But 600GB, I mean I may be missing something here but if you offer 600GB for a package, what are your servers pushing?

My Iowa servers are limited to 1tb per month, but CT, NY, NJ, MA, are much more.

Forggy..err..I mean hostfrog,
I can ASSURE you and anyone here that HW is NOT OVERSELLING at all. Having helped them in the recovery and restoration of sites during his unfortunate episode with Doom, I know his servers inside out and none of them are even maxed or near max with the plans that he is selling.
ELDO is far lower in specs than Northstar but its churning out more than 3T a month with 100% uptime, thats possible. Northstar is higher in specs and has more HDD on a 100mbps NIC, why not better?
MANY reseller (those who rent form DC then resell or colo) probably have 1T or 2T bandwidth as a package BUT if you think deeply, what if hosts decides to go for 50/100mbps unlimited or something?
With that kind of arrangement, why isnt it possible to offer 600gb?

Let me just say, we have no problems with sites that need high bandwidth, it seems you havent moved into the 20th century, if the price is right then its fine, we have many servers to operate with within our network.
MODS, I think this thread needs to be cleaned up!

And a lot of people on FWS are MY resellers, which is why I usually just argue and poke fun at people.... I'll usually offer free space (which believe it or not is my tax deductions).
And once in a blue moon, even less sometimes, I'll offer up to BIG plans.... or if I think I caught the requester early enough.
I actually have morality issues taking business away from my resellers so I tend not to post to often.... I can't even find the last "Webhosting Offer" I've made in a while.
If anything, http://igchosting.com is really hurting for business, anyone need Windows?
Back to the Topic.
Hosting Department is another provider that you are very safe with btw
