alright for remotely hosted guest books where you just edit the html is www.gbook.nu they're by far the best ive seen. they allow you to FULLY customize your guest book any way you want it and the banner ad is at the bottom. check em out and see what i mean. heres an example x.gbook.nu/rehab1

Dude, I got way too many pop-ups from your guestbook. I suggest download Megabook which is the same exact thing as that and install it on your sever, so you have total control over it, without those annoying pop-ups.

Bravenet (http://www.bravenet.com) provide a good guestbook but they don't have a thing where you can edit the html. They only have one long banner accross the top. In my opinoin they are ok. They do let you decide on the background and the images. There is also pther stuff which you can customize.

For some reason the Official Website for it to download from, is down. I think it's been down for a while. Because of that, I uploaded the Megabook zip file to SocialReject. You can download it here: http://elcrapo.socialreject.net/megabook/Mbookv20.zip

I like http://guestbooks.pathfinder.gr/ myself. I've been using this service for a while, and they seem to work pretty well.

Duh I know. If you can find a link to the download page of UGB on their website, do post it here, 'cause I wasn't able to locate it. I found my copy elsewhere.

Why are you using Guestbooks anymore? Use Forums!

Use both. They have different purposes. You need to register at a forum, and some people don't want too...

Not all forums, it's possible to set them to allow "Guest" posts.

Forums are for discussions, guestbooks are for leaving messages to the webmaster and for advertising one's site.

STOP Looking NOW.
Want a guestbook thats simple with no ads then go here.
You could actually use this as a forum as it has clickable smilies plus you can edit the HTML at the top to integrate it into you site.
Just give it a look
