I believe www.portland.co.uk allow sql access with their hosting. But it's pretty unreliable.

portland.co.uk? Are you kidding me, they are terrible. DON'T USE THEM, EVEN ITS THE ONLY HOST THAT HAS THAT (But some host has to have it, I hope).

No idea, though one I don't understand... but click on something that vaguely looks like "register" above and you could probably work most of it out or type in nonsense...

Its in Slovenk or something like that. Do a search for it in this forum, and you'll find a translation.

Yes they did, but they re-opened them recently.

but dont sign up for dk3 because they're unreliable. I signed up and my site keeps poping up "Website Not Responding" errors

u guy gots any place to suggest for hosting YaBB?
or that meets these criteria :
System requirements to run YaBB :
A webspace account
Perl 5 (or higher) installed on the server your web account is on
CGI.pm v2.4+ module installed on the server your web account is on
At least 1 mb of diskspace on your webspace account; over 3mb recommended
Sendmail (for UNIX) or SMTP (for NT or UNIX); optional, but recommended
tried alot of places...portland.co.uk, home.fiberia and digital rice but still cannot get it up.
So u guys can help to suggest some sites?
thanks in advance

I would have suggested http://www.badpenguin.net but they aren't accepting any new sign-ups... if you dont find a reasonable host and just need to run YaBB, try www.boardnation.com they host YaBB's remotely! :classic2:

you could always try a different BB that doesn't need mySQL...

Lol. Well, KeyBulletin or whatever is coming, and it's a PHP/MySQL version of YaBB. Or so I believe. Though you all probably know already so I'm probably wasting my time... and yours.

Later reply, I know. Just for the record: YaPBB is in no way related to YaBB or KeyBulletin. (although I know the guy who wrote YaPBB)
