Anyone know about Amazon affiliation?
Are they good?

Some say they cheat...

I don't think they cheat, but you need a pretty high-traffic site to make money.

Can you get access to any list of the books like ISDN-Tiltle-Author?
How many $ did you make per book, if I am not so nosy.

You mean all the books? I don't think so, but I may be wrong.

I don't mind... well, I only used Amazon's basic linking code, I didn't bother making a proper online bookshop, so I only got 5% of each sale, not including the P&P so really it was not much at all. But by all means, if you really believe you can make a good bookshop site and get people to it, you should go ahead! I think Amazon's affiliate program could be a good way to make money, under the right conditions.

I tried them not too long ago and found what mugma said was true for me. You need alot of hits to make anything from them. I did link to specific books that related to my site and thought that would get some interest but it just didn't happen.

Amazon.com? All I can say is when something is hot, you'll have several hundred dollars. I had a web site about The Sims, and when the first expansion pack was to come out, I started heavy promotion and I earned around $900 revenues.

It all depends on how you present it and show case it to the public! ;) And of course, how many visitors you get that trust you enough to buy through your link.

I make a decent monthly income from them. Then again, I don't run a bookstore, I run a review site where people can click on a direct link to the reviewed product itself. I think a book-focused content site will work much better than just a bookstore full of links to Amazon if you want to make money out of the program.

The end of the new customer bonus a few quarters back really hurt revenue as a publisher.

I have been working on a book store for the hvac industry and have generated many book sales through an affiliate program with bn.com. I have a long way to go but have created a different look using tables.
I have placed a link to my bookstore (hvacbooks.cc) from a site I have been working on, also for the industry which gives me the advantage because I draw nearly 150,000 hits per month. I once in awhile think that either one you choose is going to be only for them and I've conteplated removing my bookstore...they pay approx. 5% of sales and and books must have at least a 50 to 75% mark up. (correct me if I'm wrong) I figure if one could purchase the books as an independent bookstore owner and generate the sales on line, it would be worth the venture, however now your dealing with overhead.
For now I will continue to build my bookstore and hope for the best.
The total amount of revenue generated for the past three months...$45.00 and I have to pay income taxes on the $45.00.
It's a big boys world out there! Good Luck.

I will join the amazon program since everybody says its Ok.
I will try bn.com too.

But, I think that amazon has more books than bn though.

Good luck with amazon.com....your customers will have to pay the shipping unlike BN.com (order any two books and the shipping is FREE) Amazon dropped thier free shipping.
