Hi guys, my first post :)

I'm in need of a host bad, i gotta get up & running soon. Here are the specifications:

Must support cgi-bin/perl
no ads/pop-ups
preferably at least 20 mb space
Must be reliable, but most importantly fast. I used to use Freedom2Surf, but they're gotten really slow as of late :(

I'm trying to host my forum, so domain names dont matter, i just need the support of cgi-bin/perl and the webspace.

Thanks.

WOW! MAN! DON'T try prohosting!

They are even slower than f2s!
I used 'em a loooong time ago and things only get worse. Just forget them! If you want to support email notification on your forum, they do not have sendmail.

I don't know if they have popups now, but they used to force banners, so your forum will have top+foot ad.

maybe www.go.build.net
but they don't support FTP upload and you won't get subdomain...

Check out www.freehostspace.com They don't require any banners.

Thanks guys, keep 'em coming :) I'm going to give all of them a whirl.

I guess hosts that imply pop-ups are alright, as long as they arent intrusive, like the small on geocities uses...... :) But no banners, i cant stand them.

Hello! I'm a nutjob. :)

If you can do with 1 GIG you could try the free plan at www.v-sector.com. Not tried it but it seems nice.
