Is www.t35.com a reliable service? It seems too good to be true.. How long have they been around?

They don't have banners. They have pop-ups. Two completely different things.

No banners aren't the same as pop-ups. They are both ads, but two different types. So if the host said they were ad-free then that would be a lie. Since they said banner-free, that doesn't cover pop-ups.

Banners and pop-ups are different, but you shouldn't say 'No banners' and then have pop-ups. It's just rude.
When you see 'no banners', it's easy to assume that means no advertising whatsoever. They ought to change that.

This way they attract new members. Every host cheats a bit and in a legal way. They say you have 999 space but u can't store file bigger than 1mb, they say you can send file via ftp but actually you have to pay for ftp account and so on.

Hey..

Lawrence Ng just notified me of this thread (thanks..)

If there are any questions about T35 hosting feal free to ask..

Btw.. it says no banners, not no pop-ups. I guess in a way it does attract members, but many of those who sign up thinking there are no ads, leave T35 hosting, so it doesn't really help.

Basicly its there to say there are no banner ads displayed in your page. That means no pictures/banners will show up in your code. Basicly saying that your designed won't be messed up.

Most hosts who add "banner" wind up messing up members pages designs, weather it be frames, or tables, etc.. Banners still mess them up.

And I just basicly state we don't do that.

As for being "reliable", we just moved to a new place, with new servers, and new scripts, and after the first few weeks of fixing some bugs, everything should be fine now.

In a week or so we will be upgrading the servers, so things should get even better.

We also have 24/5 tech support through aim, icq, msn messenger, irc, e-mail, web forum, livehelper, etc..

We will be hiring new emplyees and upgrading to 24/7 tech support by Sept. 15th.

edit: if there are any spelling/grammer mistakes or things that don't make sense, I appoligize, my home pc just broke, and I am typing from a pda..

Also, I would like to correct that we have pop-up unders, not pop-ups. Usually at most 2. One would pop-up under on your index. And the next on the next page the visitor goes to. After that the visitor sees no more T35 ads on your page for 24 hours. I think thats pretty decent, althought because of our lack of ads we haven't broken even with expenses since June.

t35 having problems.. ???

I just went to their website today and no images came up at all. I tried to see if it would work if I refreshed the page but no, it stayed the same.

Also I tried to upload a *.swf file.. it wasnt even a MB I think and it sent the file but seemed to disappear. Never showed up in the directory. This never happened before with any other host either.

how is anyone supose to get anything done with a 150kb limit? thats just crazy. Most sites have it 2.5mb. and yours is 150kb.. man.. my file is 186KB.. can't you make an exception? It's a .swf file... I guess anyone using Flash can't go to t35.com.
