Well... I must say I was never a big fan of geocities.
Your design is a beginners design. It has no images at all.. and the side bar is just text links... I would try using images as buttons on the side bar. Also the "gadgets" on the site are a little much. They don't match everything else.

Its a newbie design. It doesn't bother me that there isn't any images since my freebie site doesn't either. But they page just look odd. And the gadgets ad seems out of place.

Too many colors! Try to limit the text and link colors to 3 or 4.

The gadgets (polls, time gadget, google search field, counter) make the site look disoriented and flashy. You need to limit the amount of stuff you have on a page or at least edit the colors of the gadgets so they match your site's design.

I noticed that the colors are shown quite differently on lcd and crt. I will improve on that.

I dont really like that much either. If you want to change soemthing on mouseover, just change the color of the link.
