O.K. for those of you who got the account re-activated, how fast is your site now?
Is it faster than before?

I can't tell right now really, I don't have that much on my site because my database are not up yet and nor are my subdomains where most of my content is...
and I just upgraded my connection so everything seems faster now! ;)
But I'd say it's faster put I have no proof like download speed or ping, it just seems to connect faster...

FTP is sloooowww. But the site is fast and the control panel is good.

What is so good about the control panel? Do you know how to create a mysql database with it?

that's because somehow Vincent forgot to plug in the MySQL module or something.
Ben says download PHPMyadmin and use the database.
database name : ur username
username : same as above
password : ur password
Ensim is a good control panel . On the same level as Plesk/Cpanel

Hello All,
I have just tried to visit their site but it seems down. Could be a problem with a router or something. Can't ping / do a tracert from Australia either.

LOL, Ensim is the worst control panel you can ever use, as a webhosting company who currently uses Ensim (we are moving to Dallas, now using plesk 2.0 - THANK GOD, no more ENSIM!).
Ensim has various bugs:
1. Sendmail will drop now and then.
2. You will have alot of problems sending & recieving emails.
3. You cannot create subdomains for name-based sites using ensim.
4. A whole lot bugs, i really felt sorry for my clients because they had to use Ensim, therefore here i come plesk 2.0!

ValuableHost

well that's the first time I heard bad things about Ensim. But since you have more experience using it, I'll take it.
What do you mean by mail problems? Isn't collecting mails independent of the control panel?

How did you get your accounts back on?
Did you emailed Directoris?
I can't access mine. What's the ftp address?

Did all the accounts got removed?

Yupapa,
Yes, apparently all of the accounts got deleted and many people were surprised that we had lost our account. Now we have to wait for Vincent to re-activate the account again and re-upload all the files again.
I hope you don't have to go through what directoris had to go through Yupapa. Good luck. By the way, if you have to move to a new server in the future, move to the one that is in the USA or in Canada. :D

Does Directoris store all your files in their own hard drive?
That's a lot of work!!
Yeah, I am planning to move to my own dedicated server.
I am scared of DONHOST now and hope my account will not be removed.

I don't think they have back up of the accounts. They just re-activate the account and you have to up-load all of your files again. Everything that you have before is GONE!!!!!!!
Yupapa, you make a right decision to move. Where will the server be located Yupapa?

I don't know.. I am looking for a Linux under 180-150USD
I guess that's impossible.

Yupapa, have you ever thought about a RaQ?
YUPAPA
August 22nd, 2001, 21:18
Yes... but my friend can hack a Raq in less than 20 mins!

There are ways to make them more secure, it would also be the cheapest way...
