i would make something more of the "coming soon" and "whats new" section.......

but the site looks good to me, you could use one more color in it

Could do with some adjusting for Explorer too. At first I couldn't understand why the page seemed to be twice as wide as the content. But when I tried the menu I understood. That is where the explanations for the menu are supposed to go. For instance, if you hold the cursor over the "This site" link, there is a red box with the words "Contribute, email us, site faq" appearing in the wasteland half a screen width to the right of what is otherwise the right edge. You can see it, if you scroll so that the main content vanishes on the left.
But every link seems to go to a page that says "Welcome to your new website. To enable FrontPage extensions....".

Yes... But in that case, would it not be a good idea to have these appear onscreen with no extra scrolling involved?

yeah but it wouldn't look too nice with big menus at the top of each page!
