I guess they offer the same as before. Before they were running off a 56k modem. They had unlimited space, bandwidth, cgi-bin, sendmail and no ads. I think they will last as long before.
BTW, they don't accept new signups now.

No, I don't expect it to be news, I just want to feel big about my self :D
But they are kinda fast considering they're in Vancover and I'm in Montreal.

I thought we have agreed that they totally suck, are extremely unreliable a long time ago. Plus their amazing server is placed in a cardboard box the last time I remember. *shiver*

It's not everywhere you can find a 56K modem that has unlimited bandwidth, though.

You're right... maybe they do need to start soemwhere, but I wouldn't expect them to stay like that for 2 years...

well it really depends how many accounts were there, and how much traffic they got.

digital-host.net is running off a dual t1 connection and the failded owner of mifix.net works for them. I can see where this is going. :D

Have you got proof? And like everybody's been saying here, how're they supposed to afford the "dual T-1 connections" when they can't even cough up enough cash for a decent casing?

this card board box thing does not make sense, digital hosting was running even when mifix was using a cardboard box, unless mifix had a heart of gold and donated them what every hosting company needs, a cardboard box, i dont see what your talking about.

Lex, you're right about them not really having dual t1 and maybe they do have a card board case.
In their frorum, they're asking for donations and volunteers to put banners on their sites. Pop-up will become regular unless you volunteer.
Why are we debating over some crummy web host??

Lets clear things up REALLY quick. For one Ben Oman former owner of Mifix is NOT working for Digital Hosting. He is working on a new project PDANET. Digital Hosting IS NOT running in a cardboard box. And they ARE on Dual T1. Signups are down due to a bug that was discovered in the script. Now I hope this cleared it up for everyone.

Digital-Host is not that slow anymore I guess...
Just a few days and they closed the signups.
That's why they're fast!

I have had enough of this "Digital Host is Mifix" & "Digital Host is Atomic" crap. When is everyone going to realize that we aren't Mifix.
Mifix was Ben Oman's breakaway from Atomic. When he failed, he simply transferred us the domain. He does not work for Digital in any form or fashion. Nor do we use the famous "card board box" that everyone is referring to. Once again, that was Ben Oman's Mifix.
Atomic was a joint venture between Jeremy Johnston & Benjamin Oman. Even I'll admit it failed, but Digital is NOT a repeat of it.
Digital is in a regularly cased virtual server{ :) } hosted on Dual T1s provided by Zoidial Publishing available at http://www.zoidial.com. How do we afford this, you ask? First, we get a discount from Zoidial do to close associations. Second: Jeremy is paying the rest out of pocket until we can earn a profit via ads & donations. Why donations & ads? Because we know that there is no way to survive without unless you have a side service offering like F2S.
We have no intentions of failing, and will stay for the long haul if people in this petty forum would ever take the time to give a host a chance. I'm sure you've seen hosts come and die, and we may be next, but it won't be for a lack of trying. No, instead it will be from a lack of enthusiasm and hatred from the people in places like this that have nothing better to do than criticize a host before it even really gets going.
As for comments wondering why not everything on the site is working, the answer is that it's being made. We will accept sign-ups soon, and everything else will fall in place as it comes.

Their site is ----ing ugly.
Look at the bright side: at least the server is covered and indoors. at least its not a 28.8 connection, and at least one of their creators isn't posting here defending the service.
