I was thinking about offering free hosting to webmaster related sites if they put a banner/link to my hosting site. I seen a few people offer this before, to the hosts who have done this how did it work out? Did your sales increase?

It doesn't work. We are sponsoring a Webmaster Forum, and the click through rate are only 1-2 clicks per 1000 impressions.

By offering 40%-50% off reseller plans, I believe you can generate more sales.
