Okay. I can route. I can tweak a kernel. I can program. But can I design a reasonable website?
I am looking for real feedback here. Please visit:

Thanks in advance.

are you sure the pages after the main page aren't too boring?

You should remake the images in gif or png instead of jpeg.
jpeg is only good for pictures, and gifs would load faster.

The link for the forums (http://www.valkaryn.net/forums/run/YaBB.cgi) gives me a 404. And you might want to add a link back to the home page (in addition to the rest of the navigation links) from your custom 404 page.
Also, the wording on the home page is a bit melodramatic. I would suggest using more objective text. For one thing, all these inanimate objects have been anthropomorphized, such as:
Humming servers listen on the network for their call to action.
That type of writing tends to turn me off.
But the overall site design is clean and nice. :)

Thanks for the info on the bad link. its fixed.
you're right about the menu-ing for the errordoc. I'll put something together.
I get about 75% like the the text and 25% dont. Jury is still out. Maybe I'll put a poll on the page and see how people answer.

Try using a set table width instead of a percent because [on my 1280x1024 resolution] the middle table has a lot of blank space on the sides and it looks messy.
Also, try putting this in the body tag and see how it looks:
marginwidth=0 marginheight=0 topmargin=0 leftmargin=0
Looks nice otherwise.
