Best Free Host On The Net

in your oppinion what is the best free host on the net? i think it is twu, its everything that a pay host is, but for free. when ever i e-mail them they get back to me in the same day, some times within minutes, i hope nothing goes wrong, im going to be pissed if somthing does. name somthing a pay host has and twu probly has it, no ads or anything, and they have great support, if you e-mailthem you will get a response in the same day, some times within minutes. domain and sub domain hosting, domains can get sub domains of their domain created.

i think that the best host is spaceports....and then after virtualave or hypermart cuz they offer lots of thing like ssi and cgi....

hypermart have pop up banners! and if you disable there popup banners, there will be banners on top of every page.. So what so good about them besides the stuff they offer? lots of free host offer that.

Well..... I'd have to say netcabins. If it was still functional, I would have said redrival.

01. Netcabins/Hypermart/VirtualAve (tie)
===> Netcabins has more features and reliable, but HyperMart/VirtualAve are very very reliable so they equal out.

02. Freedom2Surf
===> Reliability is so~so here, but No Ads/PHP/CGI makes up for that

03. SpacePorts
===> Great support, as much space as you need. CGI-BIN/PHP/mySQL server is slow as hell :(

04. WorldZone
===> WD, as soon as you get FTP, you'll get higher on this my list ;)

05. Liquid2k
===> No ads, FAST, FTP, email@liquid2k.com address. No advanced stuff, but a reliable choice.

06. Tripod
===> These guys have the need for speed. If you're looking for BLAZING speed and reliability, check em out. No php/cgi/ssi for advanced webmasters :( Banner or Popup option.

07. MyCGIServer
===> A lot of script support (except no Perl, pretty ironic with the name MyCGIServer huh? ;)). Decent speed.

08. Drak.NET
===> Decent no ads host. Aimed a pagan related pages, but will host anyone. Browser upload, no advanced features :(

tripod DOES have ssi, hehe i used it and it works

you dont need to change it to .shtml or anything.. it wokrs pretty well, i like tripdo just that they dont offer advanced cgi

I just registered at Spacesport and I think it has a good service and a CGI for my board,IMO.

Beware, there is a file limit on the CGI server. You can only have 1000 files on the CGI server. So don't plan on a big board.

Best free host?

For beginners: Angelfire, hands down. I know a lot of people will be upset by my opinion, but let's face it, that template that they have is *incredibly* easy, even if it does make cheesy looking pages.

To screw up Angelfire's template, you basically have to be a complete moron :P

For experienced users: NetCabins/WorldZone.

NetCabins - lots of features, FTP, domain hosting

WorldZone - lots of space, good features

I doubt it will ever happen. The security risks are just too great to put FTP on Worldzone. That's why Webdude created Worldzone Pro.... :)
