f2s...they've been around for a long time, you can't get any better than that. i'm still skeptical about deluxnetwork.com.

from wat i can tell the servers are in Australia, i think in Queensland. and one thing, Australia = quality!!! (but then the the servers are in the land of bannana benders, lolololol)

But f2s have SLOW servers.

When i pinged them, I got around 358. F2s was like around 172. Considering that f2s gives you a mySQL database. I would have to say f2s.com :)

I agree their speeds have room for improvement, but you just can't get any better than F2S now. Their old servers are actually quite speedy...

and pings dont always count, cos i have confirmed that the duluxnetwork servers are in queensland and f2s are in london so u may live closer to one than the other.

i usually i get pretty good pings while playing online games like about 167ms. i just pinged f2s and got 442ms, where as deluxnetwork was 157ms, now i say for a 56k modem at 44k thats pretty bloody good!!!

ok 1st of all f2s has been around f2s been around since 1999 i think, and in that time they have proven to use that they are slow, nearly useless, impossible to use for scripters (no thanks to bloody cache) dont say they get faster overtime, cos thats a load of crap. i thought the more signups, the slower the connections would be?? and anyway if you hae ever used there databases you will find they are so unbelievbably slow and useless.

now for delux network, they have about 200 members and have been around for a few months, there servers provide stability and speed, no cache, no waiting period for the server to become stable, decent support!!! allows zip files. what else could u want in a host!!! all people need to do is display their small banner on a page

The reason you never liked f2s is probably because you signed up and you never went back to your account. Tell me, is this fast? www.wmrr.f2s.com. I don't use my f2s accounts anymore because I have pay hosting now, but tell me, is this fast?


Simple logic: A server has 1000 active users, you being one of them. A few months later, the server has 30 active users, and you decide to go back to it, how fast do you think it's going to be?

actually, my site had been hosted on f2s for about 5-6 months and i got sick of it and went to badpenguin.net where i get a great service!

i noticed your server was server 36, my is server 39, there aint no diff in speed.

the speed of the server where my site was hosted is errelivant, being that my site ran on php and mysql, f2s use a seperate server for the databases, so of course my site would be slow hosted by them. if i was to go into the admin section of my directory and try to activate waiting links, it would take ages!

F2S's older servers are definitely faster than the newer "experimental" servers.

ozefrog, you probably just had some personal bad experience with them. F2S's the best host I've ever seen, ever since 1999 (I've had some accounts when they first opened up but I've forgotten them all by now :p)

i found out something about their so called domain hosting, they class domain hostng as, signing up at zoneedit and redirecting your domain to a url. thats their idea of 'FREE domain hosting'

when I pinged my f2s account i got an average of 279 and im on server 46. I just signed up a week ago :D

dk3 is slow. Pinging isn't really a great judgment of speed, but I got 1100ms+ pings. :eek:

ok let me explain people. DNS is just domain forwarding. HOSTING A DOMAIN OTHER THEN DELUXNET IS A DOMAIN HOSTING!. most hosts do not provide domain hosting and delete peoples accounts taht do ti because they want them to use there web address! understand!

and http://www.user.com.kg isnt a domain its a subdomain which u got from http://united.net.kg
