Where holiday lights are abundant, and the power companies are struggling to provide California with power... So far we up north can keep our holiday lights on, but it is suggested that we shouldn't heat our homes to a temperature higher than 69..hmmm...Anyone down there in California...how bad is it?

I keep waiting for snow.. they said today, then tomorrow and then monday.. none yet.. Anyone else out there playing in the white stuff?

we have the worst (worse than you) weather forecasters. Here in NC they said 2 weeks ago that there would be flurries there were 3-4 inches. then one week ago they said 14-26 inches. We didn't get a single snow flake on the ground. Last year, projjected 1-2 inches well midnight they changed it to 3-4 inches, 1 am 6-7, 2 amd 7-8, 3am 9-10, 4 am 11-12, 5 am 12-13, well by 5 pm. the next day it stopped at 23 inches (a record). I stayed up for this whole thing. Well maybe .25 inches tonight so i am hoping for 25 inches. Well thats my story.

They have been predicting snow for about six weeks now and I haven't seen a flake. I've given up on the weather forecasters

I think they keep going into the 5% left reserve whatever. I heard a mention of it on the news. Too funny. X-mas lights bringing the grid down. *sigh*

Okay.. one more day..and if there isn't any snow, I'm not going to be happy..... (seeing that parts of oregon only get snow once every 100 years or so)....but there's lots of electricity up here (until we start sending it to the Californians...)

It's beginning to look a lot like christmas...

It's also beginning to smell a lot like christmas, going through packed mall's catching wiffs of unsightly smells from grotesque people, in some urgent 'christmas rush'.

Grrr.... oh well, at least I'll enjoy christmas before all you yankies, hahaha... :)

:)

We were SUPPOSED to get snow today, but it decided that we'd have slush instead of snow... something resembling a fat, heavy, WET snowflake would come down and...upon hitting the ground would turn into a puddle of water. Great. *sigh* *really wants snow...but doubts I'll get it here in the valley that is notorious for RAIN all year long...* I guess I'll have to pack my gear and go up into the mountains then...eh. Nothing like driving up the sides of cliffs on cold icy roads...
