MX settings?

This is probably a really dumb question, but I am really new at this...What are MX settings for?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what you use for mail server? Yeah, I think those are the records that you use for Everyone.net email.

MX records are used to determine the server will be used to send and recieve your e-mail for your domain. It can direct your domain's mail to a different server than your domain is on (such as the case with everyone.net).
