I want to start a web site that will make me some cash. I'm prepared to work hard at it - giving lots of promotion and updates, good design etc etc. I'm now stuck as to what I should choose as the target for my site.
I am thinking along the lines of a site with ads and other webmaster type programs to generate the cash, opposed to selling any tangiable product. I am guessing that anything that is getting lots of hits will be reasonably profitable.
Anyone have any ideas as to what the content of my site should be? I don't wanna do warez cos I'm too scared of getting caught. I don't wanna do porn because it is a family PC and I don't think the rest of my household would be impressed seeing porn all over the PC. Obviosly you aren't gonna tell me if your doing the same thing as me.... but if you've got any spare Ideas then I would be most appreciative.
So far I've thought of:
Mobile Phone Site (ringtones, secret codes etc)
Practical Jokes (seems like an already highly contested market)
Fan Site (Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez etc etc)
I am open to any other suggestions. Before someone suggests it - I already have a website about my hobby (breakdancing) but there simply isn't enough people online looking for breakdancing to make much cash. Also I don't wanna plaster it with ads and other programs.
