Does anybody know what is "child name server" and what is its function(s)?
I found this term in my domain's administration page. I've read the help, but i still don't understand.

Thanks.

btw, i know it's too late, but merry christmas!

It should be in the domain discussion then, not programming help.
It means the nameservers that you make with that domain.

ns.domain.com is a child nameserver of domain.com

oh, you're right, sorry. mod, please move.

let say i have domain.com, myhost.com the hosting that i use.

can i point:
domain.com -> ns1.domain.com, ns2.domain.com
ns1.domain.com -> 111.222.333.444 (ip of ns1.myhost.com)
ns2.domain.com -> 111.222.333.445 (ip of ns2.myhost.com)
