I am interested in everything that is kwown about their free cgi-webspace.

I'm on T35, and i think it's fine...it tends to be a little slow on some days, but the FTP is fine, and there are no ads on the CGI, although zazoo is right about the file size limit...if you've got small files you're golden

i think they have bought a dedicated server to resell space or something.

their name servers are ns.isprime.com and ns2.isprime.com.

    isprime.com is a hosting company

i have also heard rumors* that they are having a little financial trouble with their servers since the terrorism attack in NY as their servers were only a few blocks away. some servers were damaged.

this is only a rumor and i hear they still have enough money to keep going for months and months.

Lightbulb -- poor..or maybe just me...

I signed up but seldom can get into site and usually ftp does not work.

Maybe its just a temporary problem.

I uploaded a perl script that shows modules installed (a rare occasion when ftp was working) and they are well blessed with perl modules.

Now this 24/7 support and other fancy stuff for free is too good to be for real?

I wish them well but I think something is broken now.

    Exclamation ok--this is my site....

    http://www.t35.com/meddybemps/cgi/perldiver.pl
(keep trying..it takes me about 5 minutes)

I presume I'm user 'meddybemps' but meddybemps is not a valid user name today. Email support there is NONE.

They used to be very fast. It is not so anymore.

I personally have mirrored my site on dozens of servers, and by far the longest-lasting is Tripod.

If you use this code you'll get no ads:

Server speeds are decent, and we are getting all new servers very soon.

ozefrog...We colocate some of the servers from Isprime.

Even without breaking even we have enough running capital for a few more years.

So would you mind editing your post as well?

I never had any problems with T35's FTP. Just keep in mind that only 50 users are allowed simultaneously.

When I've connected, I have never seen over 12 slots in use.
