YABB is a resource hog, even in paid shared hosting, it'd be hard to run a good sized yabb board with traffic and not get complaint from the host.

i like wbb it constantly under developement and great support for free board
Take a look at the other boards I mentioned. Then you'll hate yabb. By the way yabb looks for text files on the server which is why its slow loading and also easy to hack. Most others use mysql.Originally posted by punkboy_jerm

use http://vectorstar.net they allow YaBB boards to be run, but there is a 69 mb transfer a day limit but then when the next 24 hour cycle begins its back up, so in total you get 2 gb transfer a month.
i dont think that it is fair to say that, people like what they like and there is no need in putting them down or trying to make them to hate something, if you really hate it find an anti YaBB website and start posting on their forums!!Originally posted by Expedition

phpBB is the best, however, I'm stuck with Yabb since I have to remote host my forums, they aren't very busy anyways.
I'm actually looking for someone to partner with me to host the forums, they'd get all the advertising on the forums.
