Chineese WAREZ sites

I run a free webhost and these guys constantly try to signup even tho their accounts never get activated because i use neotrace to trace back ips addresses so i can see what country the signup came from

I am sure someone here has had these problems before
Is there a way to deny access to everyone from china & taiwan?
like something i can but in the .htaccess or server configuration

You can use .htaccess to block users ... and i hope you know enough on how to run a server if you own one.

blocking people from China and taiwan might block people who want to PAY for your service or just want to sign up w/o warez

If you say you supposedly accept all sites then there shouldn't be problem if someone wants a warez site. Be more clear of your restrictions are no doubt someone will do it.

Blocking people by country doesn't seem like the best thing to do if you want business. People like Baggio and conkermaniac will be mad

Then you should have something like "Space cannot be used for file storage" instead of saying you accept all sites. A simple phrase or two can mean a lot.

May be those people can't understand English very well, so they keep on sending registeration. Are there any free hosts in China, Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan? People in China should use the services provide by the above places. In this way, there must be no communication problem.

stable free web hosts...? nope, none that are accepting sign ups @ least

OK, think about this. I help 9cy administrate accounts, and I've only been doing this for a week or so. Here are the stats...

Illegal accounts from Europe/Americas/Australia: more than 30
Illegal accounts from Asia: 4

That also includes 2 accounts from China; both of which were being used for file storage. There were about 10 accounts from Europe/US that were being used for STORING warez.

And you're right, R.K. Raja, people like me will get mad if you block Chinese visitors.
