A 3 Year Old Angel Needs Your Prayers!
We need your prayers for our sweet, adorable little 2 1/2 year old baby girl
named Sayde. Sayde was born on September 25, 2003. It wasn't until she was
a couple of months old that we noticed that Sayde was having some problems.
She had difficulty with head control and was very "floppy" when picked up.
Shortly thereafter, we realized that Sayde had major developmental delays
and was having trouble eating. She was aspirating her food and liquids into
her lungs. During this time period, Sayde was unable to keep most of her
food down and was constantly spitting up. For several months, all of
Sayde's food and liquids had to be thicken so she could eat. When she was
20 months old, Sayde underwent surgery at Shands Children's Hospital for
gastrointestinal problems and had a feeding tube inserted for 2 months.
Finally, the feeding tube was removed and Sayde was no longer aspirating
into her lungs. We breathed a sigh of relief as the worst had seemed to
pass. Still, Sayde was now 2 years old and she was not sitting on her own,
crawling, walking or even trying to talk. More doctor visits came with
still no answers. A muscle biopsy was performed in December 2005, but was
inconclusive. We were told she had a Type II mild atrophy, but still no one
could give us the answers we so longed for. As Christmas 2005 approached,
Sayde began having seizures. The seizures would come once or twice a week
in the beginning and as the months into the new year progressed, the
seizures were coming daily. Another trip to another neurologist, still
looking for answers. The neurologist gave us some frightening news.....a
possible diagnosis of mitochondrial myopathy (a wasting of the muscles for
which there is no cure). Additional testing would have to be done, but
tests could not begin until April 2008. In February, 2006, Sayde was put on
anti-seizure medication. Although we still did not have a positive
diagnosis, we prayed that the seizures would subside. Unfortunately, the
seizures have become more intense. Sayde does not go a day without at least
2 or 3 seizures, some times as many as 9 in one day. After pleading with
Sayde's various doctors and health care providers to help us get Sayde the
help she needed , Sayde has been referred back to Shands Children's Hospital
for a neurological evaluation. Sayde will be going to Shands on Thursday,
March 24, 2006. If you received this email, we are asking for your prayers
for this precious little girl. We know that with God, all things are
possible and we have all the faith in the world that Sayde will overcome all
of her health obstacles, but we are asking that you say a prayer for Sayde
and forward this email to others so that they may pray for this little
angel, too.

Ok. My mouth is shut, but....oh whats this...my fingers still move! Shocking. A forum is a place to voice opinions. If you don't like an opinion, you can't just say "shut up and don't come back".please shut your mouth.

No she is my niece, and thank you for your prayers, (not wanting sympathy) just maybe prayers might help, never know when God is listening.

I have had my fair share of pain in my life, but when there's a problem in my life, I don't ask for prayers or sympathy, I accept it and move on.
Lol your an evolutionist..you can't ask for prayer. Actually technically you couldn't have a soul either, or feel pain since emotions aren't real.
Anyways Hostfrog, prayer sent and I hope the baby gets better.
