Andrej,
There is no such thing as Unlimited or Unmetered bandwidth. It's all a scam.
I'm searching for the fastest hosting service for my mini website and I wonder if anyone could advise me which free hosting is the fastest? My needs, besides the absolutely fastest loading time, are the following:
- must be reliable and have a good reputation: must be up for quite a long time plus have the lowest downtime, of course
- must have unlimited bandwidth
- FTP or MySQL upload
- no less than 250 kB filesize limit (as my site includes some pictures)
- at least 5 MB of space - that would be enough for my site, I don't need much space, I rather prefer unlimited bandwidth (or very high bandwidth - so that I wouldn´t have worries about exceeding it)
I use atspace.com, which fully fills all my needs mentioned above, but I'm just wondering if there isn't anything better - faster (if atspace isn't the fasted one indeed).
Thanks

tumble, do you mean amz.com, heymrdj.com, hottweelz.com and netcafe.com or what? I've checked out these sites, but they don't look like any hosts.
Yes, paid hosting would be the best solution, but my site is not so important that it would really need it. It works OK with atspace.com and I'm content with it. I'm just wondering if there isn't anything similar, or even beter than atspace.com. Thanks.
My advice to you is to stay with your present host due to the "unlimited bandwidth" they are offering you.
Reason I say so is because you wont find any SANE & Serious host on FWS who will offer you "unlimited bandwidth", not even those recommended by tumble.![]()

And yes they do not offer unlimited bandwidth. My reply was strctly for your statment of:""must be reliable and have a good reputation:"must be up for quite a long time plus have the lowest downtime, of course"
oh and by the way this:
must be reliable and have a good reputation=no offers of unlimited band or storage. Or overselling

Hmm, I'll tell teach you some advice,
There's lots of hosting sites that try to scam you with all this false advertising. Which is fraudelent. If a plan or advertisement says unmetred or unlimited bandwidth that's impossible and they're probably making a quick buck everytime you click or register for it. (Through ads, etc.) Look for a decent free hoster I would say the min. and max. that free hosters sell with out ads, forum posting, etc. is about 50-300mb of space. You won't get better free hosting deals then that if you don't want ads, and forum posting, etc.
And, it's very easy to find free hosts that offer small space and if you're going to run a small site, forum, blog, whatever you want. I even think 100mb of space is right for you. Maybe even less.
Goodluck on your search.
So in essence Andrej.
If you can live without unlimited transfer. which does not exist in any shape or form.
I would go check my stats and see what you do use for transfer per month.
then post that data up and i am sure the "real" offers would come rolling in.

OK then, I'll probably stay with atspace.com. But, how high bandwidth are they really offering then if you tell it's a scam? Don't you know? Thanks.
I wouldn't suggest atspace.com if I were you. I've tested it out once. Their custom control panel is very poor. And they're scamming you on UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH. It's all a scam. I would try somewhere else, not atspace.com You don't have to listen to me, but I would recommend it.
Hmm, I bet at the most they're offering 1-3GIGS of bandwidth. Nothing more.
I don't mind the control panel. I mostly use FTP and I don't update my site very often. It's all OK...but if it's true that the "real" bandwidth is only about 1 - 3GB, then I'll need more.
well then your hosting needs can be meet easily by those i had mentioned before. edit your first post with a need of 10G transfer. which is 3x your present needs @ your max of 3G transfer per month.Originally Posted by Andrej
Once you get a taste of "real" hosting. you will never go back.
Oh yea what is the content on your site?
