Warning FrihostSucks Its staff is mean. One of the staff members even threatened me. I am scared to go back after the insanitly of this terriable web host I am warning you all not togo there It is a big waste of time it took me 14 days to get my account activated. Frihost Sucks Dont go there your wasting your time. Also all my frih$ got stollen and what dose the admin ( Bondings ) do Big deal to bad , IM sorry to bad for you im quiting.

No advertisements at all!

That's from their site. No Advertisements at all!
I would not trust a host that does that.

Anyways, back to your issue at hand. Sorry to see you have a bad experience with a host provider.
What exactly happened that he/she threatened you?

Actualy they do not place adds I ran there site for spy where and found none
They run off of the annoying adds on there site. Because your are REQUIRED to post in there fourm atleast 1 LONG PARAGRAPH (other wise it will be classified as spam and you will get banned with no ----ing warning or if u do it will be in the meanest tone that will make you want to kill yourselve. Just trust me dont use them.

If your a beginer I would suggeset using freewebs they have some neeet feachers but do have adds alot of templates though!!!

Also alot of this is caused because I made 1 joke about a moderator can't i have a since of hummer. ( it was even posted in the joke fourm if i remember right) I also thought Animal was cool Guessed wrong dont use frihost.

NO im not lieaving something out And freewebs was my suggestion for beginners. I used them before i knew html and a little java. Except i added the part about the joke it was about a moderator who retired and was spamming ( aLot ) I said You sure like spamming do you want to get banned or are you happy to be a member and be able to. All my friends on frihost agree that was for laughs And guess what the mod called it. " spamming and backseat moderating"

Well, I guess they have rules.
You should carefully check a host provider out before going with them or getting involved in any discussions on their forums etc.

I used them last month.

their server2 censors webhostintalk.com, mp3, and some others.
after I post some censored word, I got a blank white page.
that's why I moved from there. did not tried freewebspace.net.

anyway, they succeed with all language allow.

You could actually get permission from bondings A.k.a STEVE who made a rating for his own commpanny. But it would have to be when hes not to bussy smarting off and breaking peoples dreams.

I am one of the members of Staff at FriHost. I will just like to clear up the situation. The member TeenZine at this forum is leaving a lot of the story out to try and put FriHost in a bad light. Whether or not they have "left" I do not know, I do however know that they still have their hosting account with us. They have requested that the account shall still remain active whilst they look for a better host - they'll more than likely die trying to complete this mission. I have got to know TeenZine pretty well, FriHost is a tight community - he is acting as if he is a victim which is far from the truth.
TeenZine had/still has a problem with a (now ex) member of staff. They have never seen eye-2-eye and regularly flammed one another.

It took so long for your Hosting Account to be accepted Teenzine because there was a sudden epidemic of hosting requests. We do all requirements manually so it does take a little long. The current waiting time is between 10 seconds and approximately 4 days.

Frih$ and Point$ are the currency of the FriHost forums. Whilst point$ pay for your free hosting, the Frih$ have yet to have any real purpose. Currently its possible to buy things in the marketplace as well as pay for your site to be advertised in the frihost directory but that is currently it. A future feature will be the possibilty to buy more bandwidth for frih$.
I believe that it was fount that you donated the frih$ to another member of the forums after seaching through the donation records.

Like all forums you are required to post in forums, otherwise there is no need for you to join in the first place. Spam at frihost is classed as a couple of lettered post which has no meaning/use or a post that consits just of smilies or a post that has content from another site without the use of "quote" tags. New members (those that have only a handul of posts) may be automatically deleted if all of their posts are classed as spam. However, the usual member will be given at least three warnings (if their offense isn't major, like posting warez links) and even then they may not be banned. Its been known for users to recieve 5 warnings before they have been banned. At frihost the warning system is based on a template according to the rule-breaking. They encourage the user to read the forum rules again before posting, just like any other forum.

Like a another member of this forum mentioned above, the hosting of warez/porn material or illigal activites is not permitted. All audio and video need permission before uploading due to the possibilty of copyright infringement.

*I would also like to add that I have my website hosted by FriHost, it is not a scam. If it was then we wouldn't have over 20,000 members.

**After reading the last post teenzine i have the urge to reply and state that you are such a "drama queen". The forums are especially chaotic at the present moment because most staff have exams. If you do leave I guess thats one less job for the staff to clear up your epidemic of spam, backseat moderating and flaming.

You start bashing us with mostly lies while you are most likely planning to come back to us within a week (according to your signature).

What do you expect us to say when you start spamming our forums again in a week? Welcome back?

Let me give you some advice. Don't blow up all bridges behind you. Certainly not if you are planning to come back.

By the way, it took 4 days (Wed Mar 29, 2006 4:01 am - Sun Apr 02, 2006 7:24 pm) for your request to be handled. I agree that this is way too long, but not 14 days as you claim it to be.

I wish you good luck with finding a new and better free hosting provider. You might want to take a look at this forum to start your search.

Hi. I'm another member of the staff on Frihost.
I'd normally not respond to this, but as the user has chosen to publicly drag our name through the mud without giving the full story, I'm going to try and present the facts behind this case as best as I can.

To start off with, it definitely is compulsory to post on our forums, as we are based on the post-for-host model. We offer 250 mb space, 10gb monthly bandwidth, unlimited add-on domains, unlimited subdomains, unlimited MySQL DBs, unlimited e-mail addresses*. We do not place any ads whatsoever on your website, and you are free to host whatever you want (as long as it doesn't break any of the TOS... we generally do not allow the hosting of MP3 or videos or certain downloadable software to prevent copyright infringement, etc.) We manage to keep the hosting running by revenue generated by ads placed on our own community forums.
*Sorry to disappoint you... there is no catch

The main aim of Frihost, apart from providing reliable, free hosting of course, is to create a community where members find it enjoyable to post. We're thus rather strict as far as spam, flaming, or other forum-destructive activities are concerned. If a member breaks a rule, we generally issue an official warning. Banning is usually a last resort, done after a member has been warned at least a few times (except in special cases, such as if the member has posted nudity on our forums, or has posted links to illegal warez/music/etc).

Coming to the lost FRIH$.
The concept of Points and FRIH$ was well explained by my team-mate mezmorizing in the post a couple of posts above mine. This is the first time any user has reported a loss of FRIH$. Naturally, we looked into it carefully. Upon looking through the currency logs, it was determined that all of TeenZine's FRIH$ had been donated (This action requires the user to be signed in... this implies that this action could only have been done by TeenZine or someone who knew his password) to a another member.

"Back-seat moderating"
This is a term we've given to cases where normal members post replies containing official policy and rules, or give warnings for breaking rules, spamming, etc. or post replies which would be better addressed by Moderators or other staff members. We don't allow this because the official policy may change and the staff are better equipped to help new members (or old members) with questions related to these types of subjects. TeenZine regularly indulged in back-seat moderating, and admitted to so much in one of his posts in which he gave the reason/excuse for such behavious as that he is a moderator on many forums and thus has the habit of playing Mod. I would quote this post, but (un)fortunately, it has been removed to the spam can, along with a few posts before and after it, and posts in the Spam Can are only visible to staff members.
TeenZine was warned for back-seat moderating and spam. I quote the official warning sent to TeenZine by Animal, another member of the staff:
