Free Host requesters doing more then one host?

I was wondering what your guys thoughts on that issue is?

Some of the host have instant activation. so lets say a requester gains more then one host. How does one know this?

Like i have a few guys that requested hosting claiming sites are ready to go. I made them accounts and they have yet to even put in any cpanel info.

What is the max amount of time "free host" wait until they terminate a account due to either no cpnarl info or lack of content on the requesters space?

Do you think requesters are testing out other host while keeping others as pillow (ie something to fall back on)?

We do not restrain our members from having different accounts aside from the one he/she got from us. The truth is, we even had forums with posts about other free web hosts before within our community. It's because we want our members to wander around and experience for themselves the best of the free web hosts that they can find.

We are able to do this because we have a way of determining if they are still interested in our free services even if they fail to use it immediately after account creation.

I am pretty sure that there are plenty of people creating free hosting accounts and using only the one they like the most. It is a lot more common in those which create accounts automatically and don't require approval.

I've terminated atleast 20 cPanel accounts due to this. I've waited 2-4 weeks at the maximum. But, now I just feel if you ain't you're going to take it seriously that I'm just going to terminate it. It's getting really frustrating. (I give them about, 3 days.)

Really, in other terms. They're a waste of space. (Literally). If they're going to request "free" hosting they mind aswell use it and take advantage over it. It's like they don't even care; ergh. Gets me a bit upset

Anyways, yes. That's usually how long I wait before terminating.

i usually don't mind about this, however if they leave their account empty or did not point their domain name server to our host, than of course their account will be terminated. However, if they are using our account for some usage, i won't mind how many account they have in somewhere else.

Tumble, how are you? Im glad you brought this up as i feel there is a serious problem right now in the whole free hosting industry. Hosts need to become more picky and make free hosting more of a valued item. Until then, users will take for granted all the great hosting companies that offer free services and thus sign up all over the place and never use a single one!

In my creation approval e-mail I say you have up to 72 hours to notify Synced.org that you will need more time or make a change to your home page. Failure to do this, even if you have been sharing files and using the hosting, will result in an instant termination (or suspension if i feel that is more appropriate). Most people signing up for free hosting, i feel, either have a site or will have one quickly. If they don't, you're wasting your time and possible resources by allowing them to squat your services.

72 hours to a week I would personally say is a maximum.

Because I know that sometimes people use free hosting more casually than others, and it's free, I let people slack off for two months inactive before suspended them. Then after a month of not hearing from them afterwards, I back it up and terminate.

2 months? God I hope not all hosts are like this. Not that your age matters, but how long have you been in this industry? If they have not used the account, why back it up? This is now the second post you have contributed to where you seem to not pay attention to what we are really saying.

I'm also not an active free host. Go to my site, and you'll have to take about two or three links to find it, and then you have to be accepted through a grueling application process. I give them two months, because I have many free customers who go away for a while to focus on another area of their life and come back later, and all of them had to really work hard for it, so I give them a little more lenience. I back up the accounts as part of standard operating procedure.

I give my users seven days from account creation to upload at least an index page and 30 days max to have a fully functioning site. If no site is there within 30 days, the account is terminated unless they have written to an admin prior requesting more time to finish their site.
