    Question once again

    How can people offer free hosting with no forced ads? I mena how do they pay the expenses with nothing. Is there some sort of trick to it?

    They sometimes offer paid hosting aswell, or there one of those generous people that finance the servers themselves. Or use a reseller/VPS, which lowers costs, etc.

    I do not force ads in terms of server settings but i do request that they be on each page. Even with ads it can be hard if things are done incorrectly.

    Think, plan, and invest. I have invested in servers already, I have thought, about what I could possible do. I just have not fully planned it yet.

    This all went off track

    If nothing is required and just free hosting is offered then it's usually down to hosts being generous and giving and also hopeing that free hosted clients develop their sites and become long term paying customers.

    Some (I did this for some time) will just offer it to what are seen to be good reasons/causes for a site but can't afford it, some that hosts see as causes they suport and 'gift' the services.

    Unfortunately some do abuse this and make it more difficult to get these type of offers to more deserving cases.

    Dude, if you're going to provide free hosting then just make sure you can give the people good service. Also make sure you're giving it to people who deserve it. some ppl just get it to destroy you. Make the signup process long and hard. That somewhat eleminates most of the fakers and lazy ones. Those who really want you to host them and who have a good reason for asking for a free host will go through whatever you put infront of them. Good luck and make sure you got a lot of money to start with.

    Uhmmn...before we go jamming at the beat of RHCP let me answer your question.

    Yes, there is a trick.
    We report to our office for work everyday as engineers, commonly known here in Japan as "salary man". Things doesn't end up there though, since we are totally ambitious and full of heroic dreams, eh. We are also what is called as "individual investors" as soon as we have finished our jobs. We earn lots and lots of money everyday. But as a "salary man," aside from our salary, we are only allowed to earn around 200,000JPY extra income every year tax free. If we earn more than that amount, we have to pay with high taxes. Cutting it short, we don't want to pay more taxes so we put some of our earnings to charity and free education for all.

    That's the trick. It's up to you to believe.
