I actually just signed up to this to see what it's like, and so far I have yet to get my email from them (yes, I entered it correctly, no, it's not in my spam filter, yes, i used my hotmail email account, yes I signed up over 3 hours ago)

I had the same problem. I couldn't find my validation e-mail, not even in my spam folder. But, you don't need the e-mail to get started, just login with your user details.
