Ad's and posting is a pisstake in my opinion. We have either short, free sponsor offers that just require email confirmation or minimal posts, eg 50 for 5gb. I hope that another host takes advantage of their greed and nicks all their customers![]()

Forum posting is a population control
Ads is a way to fund the service
There is nothing wrong with that host, whoever they are, requiring both
posting and ads of their members and that is their right to require
whatever they wish of their hosting clients.
On the flip side of that coin, it does make competition easy since many
users will probably ditch them and go elsewhere ;p
I have to agree with amz post2host was never intended to generate revenue, and if these people have given you hosting all you life and suddenly they need a little extra to stay afloat (ad revenue) then its a fair deal. while most hosts dont do it, no free hostee has the right to place terms on hosting they are being given
