Victim of BestofData?

Well I know many ex-customers of BestofData were scammed because they paid for a service that they cant offer anymore.

I even sent a support message asking why they keep offering the same servers when they are having network problems and that they should stop offering them..

I received a reply:

Hello, We are not going to stop offering this services.

I cant show proof because they suspended my account after my server payment was due. (Today in the morning)

They even blocked me from their IRC LiveSupport because I said I was going to report them to BBB.

Well here is the solution we can do to stop them, Because people are getting scammed with their services.

I filled a complaint with BBB last night and many other customers did it also. Most of them are requesting their 3 Months money back (Network problem for 3 months now).

What you have to do is:

1. Go to http://www.bbb.org/
2. Under FILE A COMPLAINT, Click Business.
3. Follow the steps.

Note: Make sure you use the real information you used when you signed up at bestofdata. BBB is only going to contact you over email.

I'm personally happy with BoD. What exactly do you consider network problems?

Its shared bandwidth, surely you can't expect to use a full 100mbit 24/7..

Oh, and I should talk about my network usage.

I use about 6-10mbit all the time. There are some times (15-20 minutes) that I burst to about 40mbit, not needing to go any higher.

I personally think its a great deal, $75 for server+directadmin for 3TB (10mbit continous usage)

1st off, what is this all about, your saying your X clients got scammed by them? did you if not don't post about it. Unless it happened to you and you can state what it was that happened to you don't post.

All your doing is saying look there crap and file an BBB report. That doesn't explain anything and someone here just explained they have had basically no problems, another says that look you should expect problems for such a cheap price.

So what is the complaint about, I see no information to help me out.

They offered the full 100 mbps connection, with no cap for $60. They couldn't take all the load of bandwidth so the DC collapsed and all servers are too slow to work. All because BOD was selling that crap to innocent or smartass clients.

Well yes, sorry Dini, I understand all that, what I guess I was getting up, is why are you saying people should be going to BBB to do an report, this should have been an beware of BOD not file an report on BOD at BBB. To me what I am getting is, order an server, and make an report to BBB to have them shut down.

That is all, I can understand the watch out for but dont include the whole BBB that just got me a little confused.

Maybe its my lack of sleep, and me not understanding this thread, but Iv tried to understand the whole BBB bit for a little while now, thats all..
