Is it easy to register a web hosting company? and how?

Hi guys, I've been interested on finding out about registering a hosting business.

Is it easy to do this? I've seen a lot of hosts around here seem to have "Company Name LLC" on their sites, whether they're registered as an LLC or not I wouldn't know but I'm interested in finding out if it's as easy as it seems to look.

If anyone is able to offer information on how to do this within the UK it would be very helpful to me and maybe others on this forum.

You'd need to register with Companies House as a Ltd. company.

I can't say that I make a lot from my company at the moment so I'm not sure if I should just leave it until some other time. It would still be nice to know from others though on whether I should register or just wait a little longer.

I'm interested in finding out how to register a web hosting company. There's probably a lot of hosts on here that would be interested in doing the same thing to keep everything legal.

I've had a look on the companies house web site but can't find anything for registering a company that only sell their services online, ecommerce, hosting etc.

He's not - unless he's fiddling the Inland Revenue, it would simply mean that his business status was 'Sole Trader'

Your best using a 'company formation' agency, you can go to Companies House directly but it's complex by the time you have produced your documentation/atricles etc.

Search google UK pages for - company formation

A number of hosting companies out there are not registered! They simply buy a reseller, vps or dedi and sell hosting really. Its not untill you become quite big when its time you need to register.

Quite the reverse, if your serious getting the whole thing organised early is a better idea.
