I'd say with that budget, get like GeForce 7900GTX, or if possible a Radeon X1950XTX .

But really, I'd say save up until you got around $400 or so to get a GeForce 8800GS or $600 for a GeForce 8800GTX or even better, for $1200 2*GeForce 8800 GTX in SLI!

I'd still say save a bit at least $400 for the 8800GS, because the 7900 series doesn't do Direct X 10.

I would never imagine spending that much money on a graphics card, you could buy something of "real" value. Unless you spend most of your day on the computer, that is!

If you want to play any of the DX-10 games, your going to need a 8800 series card.

I spend most of my money on my guitar, but I've got same games that I cant play because of my graphics card, and I want to buy a descent one so it'll last a bit

Archbob: what are those? Direct X 10? Well lots of games need that?

Look inside the case or better look up the spec of the motherboard.

Do this first before you order LOL
