    At first people call windows vista as 'longhorn', but then Microsoft change it to vista.

    That's why newest computers (coming out soon, or are already coming out) will have a max. capacity of 6 Gigabytes rather than four. However, XP can only see up to four, lame.

    so, do you mean even if the motherboard support up to 8gb ram, xp will only able to read the maximum 4 gb of ram?

    Iyeru, Mac Pro can address 8 GB. Addressing is a property of 32-bits, that can address maximum of 4 GB. (Other limits, such as 3 or 3.2 GB, are properties of Windows or motherboard.)

    64 bit can address 16 Petabytes, or something like that. (2^32 times more than 32 bit)

    Exactly, it has nothing to do with XP. 64 Bit XP would recognize more than 4gb of ram.
