Has "our" changed and I wasn't told?

I am seeing an increasing number of people using "are" instead of "our". Is this some new lingo or should the people be spending more time at school and less on the interwebz?

Another one I am seeing more of is using "due" instead of "do"

Our actually requires use of two hands to type whereas are can be done with one hand. People are getting dumber by the day, something has got to give.
