    Thumbs up Invision For A Forum Need

    The free host I am using allows forums but does not have any forum software installed. I am looking for Invision which version should I use and were can I download it. How would I got about setting it up once I have it installed I am new to this?

    IPB is not free software, there are no free versions available to the public anymore.

    Use MyBB as Joe suggested.

    you are still free to use IPB 2, but you can only get that the illegal way, so you will still be breaking the law if you use it. so as Krakjoe said, you can't, no matter what your arguement is about there being a free version.

    it wont happen.
    i like phpBB2 if you use mods, but i hate phpBB3.

    hehe.. well heres where opinions vary

    I love PHPBB.
    Version 2 is a littel limited, but works well, and with mode isnt 1/2 bad. But PHPBB3 is pretty dam good IMO. Only thing i dont like is the lack of mods currently avalible.

    MyBB is not too bad i guess, tho Ive only used it once.

    Does this free host have Fantastico installed?
    Install PHPBB or SMF from there.

    I normally suggest using SMF... But I just installed MyBB on one of my new sites I am working on and it is an EXCELLENT vBulletin alternative
