i think i've finally overcome my fear of heights

6 inches from a 7-story drop .... then climbing a series of ladders to at least 9, possibly 10 or eleven floors off the ground and standing on progressively higher roofs.

It was intense.

I was worried about getting arrested trying to get up there.

The heights are fine. It's the falling from them that is the scary part. If you can fall and not be scared, than you've truly won.

i hate heights ....
everytime i get on a plane i stay the whole trip praying....

I have a fear of heights, but I know it's only when I'm unsecure about my "foundation". I have no problem with flying, I like flying - why? I feel safe.

Same here. Flying doesn't bother me. But when I'm on a ladder 20 feet in the air going from a 7-floor high roof to an even higher roof .... and then standing at the edge looking down smoking a cigarette ... downtown in the distance with skyscrapers everywhere. Subway trains flying past a few hundred feet away. Daaamn.

A friend of mine redecorated a billboard a couple of years ago in an unnamed city. I was standing on the ground thinking there's no way in ----ing hell i'd be up there on a little two-foot-wide catwalk.
