    Wildcard DNS and Sub Domains

Ughh it's so frustrating when you have to wait over 24hours for a support ticket and you still get no response from your host.
Anyway I need to add a wildcard ServerAlias and a RedirectMatch to the VirtualHost settings in httpd.conf to create a "catchall virtualhost" but the thing is I only have a reseller account from where I have asked for this to be done and I was told that I could do this myself in cPanel but I cannot find the httpd.conf file in cPanel and I've only got a reseller account. Would anyone enlighten me on where I could find this since at Galaxy-Hosts I was told to look in cPanel file manager but it's not there! And they haven't responded to my support ticket for over 24hurs now. :| lol

You cannot setup wildcard DNS in cPanel. You need someone with root to manually edit the MAIN httpd.conf file.

I'm no expert in all this tech stuff but I thought so too but I was told by Galaxy Hosts that I could do it in cPanel which made me LOL where I wrote to them that I must have root access and if they could do it for me but no reply received as of Thursday and it's now Saturday.

Let me Guess - Sara replied to your ticket?

& yes, I have no idea what has happened to Galaxy Hosts these days.

    Worse. Patrick. lol.
It used to be great when I first registered almost 2 years ago but now it's rapidly going down.
But anyway, I'm just giving up on them, closed the support ticket a few minutes ago myself.
Will be soon looking for a quality VPS.

I'm quite surprised if Patrick answered... He used to be quite knowlegable.

I did work for Galaxy Hosts in 2004 to 2006, but I assume you joined after I left.

Actually when I joined you were still with them. I've still got one of your PM's on a VPS offer from when you were with them.

That is really depressing that they have dropped to such a poor level of support service.

But yeah, you need access to httpd.conf to make a wildcard change.

I thought Galaxy Hosts used to be one of the more reputable ones, though.

On topic, you need root to edit httpd.con - unfortunately.
