Hello

i got a VPS from nixism.com it took them 48hours or longer to setup the server and when they did set it up Cpanel coming up with error and they will not fix it and TRIAL LICENSE is coming up on the WHM and cpanel and they tell me that they are going to leave it there

So please i recommend you do not buy from them

Why not wait a bit more and contact them so that they can fix your problem.

You wanted us to manage your VPS, and you didn't order management services.

There isn't anywhere on our websites that states how long we take to provision VPS's, and it did not take your VPS 48 hours to get provisioned.

Your VPS was not setup instantly, but it was definitely not 48 hours. You said you weren't experienced with managing a VPS, so we offered to install CPanel for you, and you crashed CPanel and came crying to us.

Stick to shared web hosting..

well let me add to the critisizm. I personally just bought a vps from nixism, i have screwed it up a few time that is part of learning how to use a vps. i was under the impression i would be able to reload my own os if i fubared it, they have since not taken down from there website that you have to submit a ticket. i also requested they install ispconfig3 for me as per an email i have he said it should not be a problem now states they would need a fee to install it.

Have not had any problems with their resellers. Currently 100% uptime and I've had no trouble getting support when I need it.

Have not tried their VPSes.

Any reasons why your looking for a hosting provider now? if you have a quality provider already?

I have always used multiple providers since getting tired of having my entire operation shut down when something happened to one company.

Plus, I can move users around based on their individual needs, as most companies are better in different areas, such as reliability, speed, features, security, and affordability.

Right now I'm just filling in a gap to replace a company we had to leave for poor service and downtime. Nixism has done very well as a provider for us, and I'm not going to be replacing them anytime soon.

It is not uncommon for one company to do well with one type of hosting, and not so well with another. Managing VPSes is quite different than managing resellers or shared hosting, so you can't completely write off the shared hosting of a company that doesn't manage VPSes very well. All I'm saying is don't take this post against the company as whole.

I am going to have to agree with the OP, they are crap dont get a VPS off them.

I ordered one a while ago and they offer no vps control panel to check usages they have no way to monitor bandwidth I can see and In my first day I had to ticket them to fix my vps coz it only had 256mb of ram instead of 1gb, you cant reload your OS like you can with other providers which I do quite often and is one of the reasons I stick to VPS over dedicated servers.

all in all they dont know what they are doing and have a really crap node setup and as the owner of it said about sticking to shared hosting, well I think the provider should stick to shared hosting.

I never reentered the VPS after they fixed the specs since it was only 12$, I am just going to move.

I expect to get a server in full working order, I shouldn't have to ticket in the first day because you stuffed the setup up and I should receive a control panel to manage bandwidth and other stuff!

Nothing has ever bet steadcom for vps, other providers iv had have come close though, however this one is totally useless.

Iv been trying to cancel this ---- vps with them since 6 days before the due date for payment and yet Im still reciving ----ing invoices for this POS and its still coming up as active in the billing system, useless ----ing company.

let me rebuff my arguments against nixism, as they after the early days of my hosting have been very good to me since. my system is quick and when i need a reload no problem, they are very speedy and getting back to me when there is a problem.

Did you purchase a cpanel license from them? Purchasing a license will fix that problem. I suggest you find a managed VPS, instead of a unmanaged one. Pay the extra money until your ready to manage your own VPS.
